Today was the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia (held early in the month, probably to not be in conflict with the DC St. Patrick’s Day Parade). Plenty of green, kilts, and Irish dancers were to be seen marching down King St. I was there to help cover the day’s events for the Old Town Alexandria Patch. While my editor was shooting the parade, I was covering the Classic Car Show and Fun Dog Show. But since those were finished before the parade, I hung around and enjoyed the parade with my wife, Cheri, at my side.

A stormtrooper from the Vader’s Fist 501st Legion marches in the parade. The legion is a volunteer organization that brings together Star Wars costume enthusiasts for Star Wars events, charity work, and community volunteering.
