Street Shots: Double Text | Portland, Oregon

6257158617 ec061f6c8b Street Shots: Double Text | Portland, Oregon

I’ve been slowly rolling out my street shots from Portland, Oregon this week.  I shot five rolls of film while over there, so I’ve been a little slow in getting them developed and scanned.  But today I wanted to share this picture that I was really happy with.

This was shot at the Pioneer Courthouse Square.  The square is a fun area full of people.  Its a great place to people watch and do some street photography.  Since there are light rail stations on both sides of the square, food carts, and chess boards, there are always people milling around.

Since these are the first few rolls of film I’ve shot on my Nikon FE, I wanted to play with the multiple exposure feature.  While photographing this woman, I realized she was in a texting zone and wasn’t going anywhere for a few minutes.  Since she didn’t seem to notice me at all, I quickly made this double exposure of her.

This was just an experiment and it was the only double exposure I’ve made with this camera.  But I was really happy with how it came out, so I plan on trying it out more in the future.

I can see why you’re happy with this. I really liked this shot and was so intrigued that I had to read the story below it. nice work, Eric.
