On a road just outside of downtown Lexington, Virginia is this interesting piece of Americana. Over the years it has housed many a retail shop. Currently, its the First Catch Fish Market.
I found this building while preparing for my short trip to Lexington. I did a quick search on Flickr Places for Lexington, VA. This brought up a sampling of “interesting” photos that have been geotagged in or near the town.
Since I love to photograph architecture, I narrowed my search down to buildings. Doing this brought up a snapshot of this building. There wasn’t any address information on Flickr about the building, so I went over to Google and searched using the phrase “coffee pot building lexington virginia.”
The first article that came up in that search was this story over at Roadside America. It was here that I was able to grab an address.
Luckily, it wasn’t too far from my hotel. Once I got in town, it was the first place I checked out.
