I’ve been freelancing lately for the Burke Patch, one of the many hyper-local news websites that have sprung up in the past year. This past week, I’ve had two assignments on the site. The first was my coverage of the Burke Centre Wine Festival last Saturday. I walked around, shot some photos, talked to the caterers, the winery reps, and some denizens attending the event. Then this past Wednesday, I sat down with a case manager at Brain Injury Services. They are a nonprofit company that helps people who have suffered brain trauma to cope and manage with the affects of their injuries. He was a fun person to talk to and I grabbed his head-shot for the article. You can see that article here.
